About the role

The Facilities Officer assists in the maintenance of College buildings, fixtures, vehicle fleet, furniture and equipment. They also assist in the coordination of external contractors and liaises with internal clients and participate in minor building projects and improvements to the campus facilities.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring a broad range of manual skills and experience, hold a relevant trade qualification, demonstrate strong computing skills, be capable of performing physical manual handling, and consistently apply safe work practices.

Staff appointed to this role routinely undertake active outdoor and indoor work; work in environments that may contain dust and potential irritants; and undertake manual handling, including lifting, bending and moving equipment.

Other Conditions and Eligibility

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
