We're Hiring – Electrical Coordinator (Surface Infrastructure)
PlanTech Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Coordinator – Surface Infrastructure for an immediate start at a well-established open-cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin, Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical professional looking to join a high-performing operation and play a key role in the management and reliability of critical surface infrastructure assets.

The Opportunity
This position is initially offered as a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension based on site requirements and individual performance.
Bowen Basin, QLD
Site accommodation provided
DIDO from Mackay or Rockhampton regions
Paid travel time to and from site
Monday–Thursday/Tuesday–Friday roster
Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee surface electrical infrastructure activities and projects
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure works
• Monitor and manage project budgets and expenditure
• Ensure compliance with site standards, statutory requirements and engineering specifications
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and contractor teams to achieve project objectives
• Drive safety, reliability and operational excellence across all activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Experience managing and maintaining surface infrastructure systems
Strong technical support and electrical systems knowledge
Proven project management and coordination capability
Budget management and cost-control experience
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements in industrial environments
Relevant Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade qualifications
Mining, heavy industry, engineering or infrastructure experience highly regarded
