Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor, who is keen to connect visitors and guests to an incredible natural setting.

  • Temporary full-time role up to 2 years
  • Located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
  • Package includes base salary, loading, plus employer's contribution to superannuation

About the role

As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading and coordinating all front office and guest services operations across accommodation reservations, arrivals, departures, guest enquiries, overnight audit processes and service recovery. You will manage resources, systems, procedures and team performance to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences and consistently high service standards throughout the Jenolan Visitor Use and Services Zone. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accommodation readiness, guest communication, operational efficiency and a positive team culture whilst supporting the broader Hotel & Hospitality leadership team.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise front office, accommodation, reservations or guest services staff and assign daily tasks.
  • Experience in managing guest enquiries, arrivals, departures, complaints and service recovery in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor and support front office team members, including casual and cross-departmental staff.
  • Experience using property management systems, reservations platforms, reporting processes and night audit procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage rosters, handovers, daily procedures and operational priorities in a dynamic accommodation environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills with a guest-focused leadership approach.

Accommodation & Working Arrangement

Due to the unique operational environment at Jenolan Caves and the Front Desk Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the guest journey across reservations, arrivals, departures, reception operations and overnight audit requirements, requiring a strong onsite leadership presence to support the day-to-day operation.

Given the remote location and evolving operational environment, this position is well suited to candidates seeking a FIFO-style hospitality leadership opportunity, with onsite accommodation arrangements available if required.
