Test Director

We are on the search for a Senior Test Director for an initial short-term contract backfill role. This is a mid-flight role and requires someone to come in and hit the ground running on some key initiatives including Test Tool Procurement and Administration and driving the Test Automation Capability within the organisation.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Lead the development of the technical testing strategy, strategic test plans and test approach and processes to maintain, enhance systems, applications and cloud environments.
• Lead in the end-to-end technical test delivery capability from testing requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, test execution for each stage, defect management, coordination & resolution and test reporting.
• Lead a team of high performing test specialists, ensuring the most effective use of testing skills and abilities mapped to capacity requirements to deliver on the organisations workplan.
• Plan, manage, coordinate and deliver the end-to-end systems development testing through the following phases with the vendors – unit, systems integration, accessibility, browser compatibility, security, performance, regression, service partner integration, usability, software vendor, operational readiness and business verification testing.
• Ensure the delivery and compliance of the solutions is ready for the operational environment following SIAM processes.
• Ensure operational accountability and effectiveness in regard to the testing methodology, standards, processes, tools, capability and automation uplift.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders from executive and senior management roles to team members, utilising language and presentation modes appropriately tailored to audiences.
• Develop a coordinated and integrated testing strategy and approach with and across the vendors.
• Uplift the maturity and effectiveness of the testing function and associated methodologies, capabilities, practices, assurance, governance, tools and processes.
• Proactively integrate the test function into the future IT operating model in conjunction with other delivery teams.
• Cultivate accountability in the workforce by fostering self-reliance, and confidence in the pursuit of the organisation goals.
• Have a strong technical skills/understanding with experience in delivery of large mission critical systems, various cloud environments and large databases and applications like Oracle.

Casual Loading

Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
