Job Description
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
- Responsible for cash flow forecasting, FX risk management, and implementing hedging strategies to optimise liquidity and minimise currency exposure.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial insights.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members within the Accounting & Finance department.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Financial Accountant Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation such as CPA or CA.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the retail industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
