Resourceful Recruitment has partnered with a leading entity within the Oil & Gas sector committed to pioneering advancements in energy solutions. Located in the heart of Brisbane, they’re currently seeking a self-motivated and experienced Production Engineer to join the Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities

The Production Engineer will provide technical expertise across well integrity management, bottomhole pressure monitoring, well intervention planning, and artificial lift system design to maintain compliance and maximise the value of operating fields.

The role involves regular well surveillance to identify production improvement opportunities, detailed failure analysis to extend well life, and leading or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within subsurface production operations.

• Support daily subsurface and well performance activities across operating assets.
• Ensure compliance with the Well Integrity Management Plan and manage well integrity issues.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to optimise production and reduce downtime.
• Identify and deliver workover, optimisation, and production improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to reservoir management, well reviews, and future development planning.
• Maintain accurate reporting, production data, and stakeholder engagement.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Progressing towards or holding RPEQ
• Experience in upstream oil & gas or resources sector with strong technical and commercial understanding.
• Expertise in artificial lift systems, including Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCPs) and Rod Pumps .
• Be able to travel to site at regularly consistent frequency
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
