The studio provides personalised mentorship, workshops, and online sessions to enhance songwriting, performance, and confidence while unlocking creative potential.

Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Vocal Coach at The Artist Studio Sydney, located in Surry Hills, NSW. You'll be running 1-on-1 vocal development sessions with emerging artists across a range of genres and experience levels, from beginners finding their voice for the first time, to developing artists preparing for releases, sessions, and live shows.

What You'll Do

• Lead 1-on-1 vocal development sessions at our Surry Hills studio (online sessions also available)
• Work with artists across a wide range of genres
• Build tailored programs that develop technique, confidence, and authentic artistic identity
• Support artists who are actively recording and releasing, understanding the demands of the booth and the stage

Required

• Experience teaching or mentoring vocalists in a 1-on-1 setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to mentor artists effectively
• A background in music and experience with performance or teaching in the music industry
• Ability to inspire confidence and foster creativity among artists
• Capability to use instruments such as piano as part of vocal training
• Able to work consistently across 2-3 days per week (Monday–Saturday, 12pm–9pm)
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Preferred

• Experience across multiple contemporary genres
• Comfortable working alongside producers and in a recording environment when necessary
• Understanding of the emotional and creative dimensions of artist development, not just technique
