The Opportunity

Senior hire into a growing Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.

You’ll take ownership of complex matters, run files end to end, and play a key role in the continued expansion of the practice, both from a delivery and client perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload across commercial, civil, building & construction, equity and regulatory disputes
• Run matters from initiation through to settlement, hearing or judgment
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions and complex legal advice
• Represent clients in court, mediations and negotiations
• Work directly with a diverse client base across private and corporate matters
• Contribute to business development and client growth
• Mentor junior lawyers and support team development

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years’ PAE in litigation and dispute resolution
• Strong knowledge of NSW courts and procedures (including NCAT)
• Proven ability to run matters autonomously from start to finish
• Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation capability
• Commercially minded with a focus on client outcomes
• Strong client management and communication skills
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers

Highly regarded

• Experience in commercial litigation, construction disputes, insolvency or property matters
• Exposure to litigation tech / e-filing systems
• Existing referral network or BD capability
