Business Development Manager

PHOTOWORKS is a high-end eCommerce photography and production studio based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We work with leading fashion and lifestyle brands, producing on-model photography, product imagery, and video content for online retail at scale.
We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager (part-time, with potential to grow) to help us expand our client base across the Sydney fashion and eCommerce industry.
The Role
This is a relationship-led growth role focused on one thing: bringing in new fashion and lifestyle brand clients through your existing network and industry connections.
You will be responsible for
- Opening doors to new fashion, lifestyle, and eCommerce brand clients
- Leveraging your existing network across Sydney’s fashion industry
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with brand, marketing, and eCommerce teams
- Driving new studio opportunities and repeat production work
- Working closely with our creative team to convert leads into long-term clients
- Supporting revenue growth through direct industry relationships
This role is flexible (on-site or WFH), but strong Sydney-based industry presence is essential.
About you
This role is not entry-level. We are looking for someone who already knows the industry and has the relationships.
You will ideally have:
- An established network within Sydney fashion, retail, or eCommerce brands
- Experience in business development, account management, production, or brand partnerships
- Strong existing relationships with marketing, eCommerce, or creative decision-makers
- Confidence opening doors and starting commercial conversations
- A strong understanding of how fashion brands produce content for online retail
- A proactive, commercially driven mindset
