Primary objective

Provide high-quality, timely and efficient attraction, recruitment and candidate-care services in line with established policies and

the principles of merit-based and inclusive selection.

Context statement

The Strategy, Governance and Workforce branch is responsible for leading workforce strategies to attract, retain and develop

capability to build a skilled and committed workforce within a supported, safe and connected environment. The branch provides

support services across the agency (including regions) on employee wellbeing and culture, workforce strategic planning, work

health and safety, employee onboarding, business improvement support, recruitment and training and capability.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Undertake recruitment and selection processes to improve the hiring experience for both managers and candidates.

2. Support divisions by achieving resourcing objectives including planning, recruitment and attraction campaigns.

3. Keep accurate data on a range of recruitment and attraction metrics.

4. Monitor and respond to the generic email account for all recruitment actions.

5. Improve position establishment and undertake position evaluation reviews to redesign or create new positions to align with

approved or proposed organisation structures.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience in recruitment, managing end-to-end processes and participating as an independent panel member.

2. Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, high-pressure environments, supported by strong organisational skills and

adaptability to changing organisational priorities.

3. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and

maintain organised, consistent processes under pressure.

4. Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

5. Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively to achieve desired

outcomes.

6. Professional and collaborative approach, contributing positively as a team member while maintaining strong working

relationships at all levels and promoting a positive image of the department.

Desirable

1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant field
