Location: Sydney-based and willing to travel regionally and interstate for short periods

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 base, plus overtime and allowances, depending on experience

CPR Façade Upgrade Specialists is a 30+ year family-owned business providing façade consultancy, remediation, repainting and long-term maintenance services for high-rise properties. Based in Sydney, we work across NSW, ACT and SA, delivering specialist façade upgrade solutions using innovative scaffold-free access systems. We are seeking an experienced Rope Access Technician, Level 2 or Level 3, to lead a two-person specialist team delivering aftercare, warranty and maintenance works across completed façade projects.

While rope access is essential, this role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality trade outcomes, including painting touch-ups, remedial repairs, façade cleaning and general maintenance, with rope access used as the access method. You will also be exposed to CPR’s advanced access systems, including power ascenders and our PEARS access system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate within and lead a two-person rope access team across multiple sites
  • Perform minor painting and coating touch ups, remedial repairs, façade cleaning, and general maintenance works using rope access methods.
  • Assess minor defects on site and carry out practical repair solutions
  • Maintain high safety standards and comply with rope access procedures
  • Manage site logistics, equipment, and reporting for completed works communicating with Project Managers
  • Represent CPR professionally when interacting with clients, residents, and stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 yrs’ experience working with rope access on building façades
  • Minimum 4 yrs’ experience in painting, coatings, façade maintenance, cleaning and/or remedial works.
  • IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 certification or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written English (competent to ensure on-site crew safety)
  • Reliable, practical and confident communicating with stakeholders
  • Confident using smartphones and apps for photos, job notes and communication

Mandatory Requirements

  • Work Safely at Heights
  • Driver’s Licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience using power ascenders e.g. Skylotec ActSafe ACX, Mode Smart Spider Pro, or similar system with mechanical lifting advantage
  • Trade background in painting, building maintenance, and/or remedial works (e.g. rendering, waterproofing, cladding, glazing)
  • Formal trade qualification
  • Own vehicle

  • Has previously worked as a leading hand or senior tradesperson on external works
  • May suit someone who has previously run their own small operation and is looking to be part of a larger, structured team environment
