Reporting to the executive leadership team, the General Manager Function Sales will lead the strategic direction, commercial performance and operational excellence of the function and events sales division. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic client partnerships and developing a high-performing sales culture across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute a portfolio-wide function sales growth strategy
- Drive revenue, pipeline, conversion and profitability outcomes
- Build new business opportunities across corporate, social, community and event sectors
- Lead pricing, packaging and commercial strategies to maximise market share
- Coach and develop a high-performing function sales team across multiple venues
Candidate Profile
You are an accomplished hospitality, events or commercial sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth across complex multi-site operations. Commercially astute and highly strategic, you combine strong leadership capability with hands-on sales expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
You will bring:
- Significant senior sales leadership experience within hospitality, events or a related sector
- Demonstrated success driving function and event revenue growth across multiple venues
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience
- Expertise in business development, pipeline management and strategic partnerships
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills
