National Retail Manager

This is a newly created leadership role reporting directly to the Commercial Director.

As National Retail Manager, you'll have end-to-end accountability for how our retail channel performs from the people on the floor to the numbers on the page.

You'll oversee both store operations and visual merchandising, working across functions to ensure our stores are not only hitting their targets but genuinely reflecting what our brand stands for. This is a role for someone who is fluent and confident with a P&L as well as coaching teams and driving performance.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Driving Commercial Performance

  • Take full ownership of sales, profitability, and productivity outcomes across the store network
  • Monitor and act on key trading metrics conversion, ATV, UPT, and labour productivity
  • Dig into performance data to spot trends, identify gaps, and put plans in place quickly
  • Be present in stores regularly coaching, observing, and keeping the bar high
  • Lead the annual retail planning and budgeting cycle
  • Ensure initiatives land consistently across every location

Setting the Standard for Experience & Presentation

  • Define and protect what a great customer experience looks like in our stores
  • Hold the network to a consistent standard of visual presentation and service delivery
  • Work closely with the VM & Sales Specialist to bring product stories to life on the floor
  • Ensure every campaign, launch, and seasonal moment lands with impact in-store
  • Use sales and VM data to inform how we present product and engage customers

Running a Tight Operation

  • Keep retail operations running smoothly systems, processes, compliance, and all
  • Lead new store openings and refits from brief to opening, managing budgets and stakeholders throughout
  • Find and fix inefficiencies before they become habits
  • Maintain strong stock integrity and inventory management practices across all stores
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Finance, HR, and Operations on shared priorities

Contributing to the Bigger Picture

  • Partner with the Senior Merchandise Planner on inventory strategy and trading decisions
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ecommerce to make campaigns work hard across every channel
  • Bring a data-driven perspective to forecasting, staffing, and stock conversations
  • Look for the commercial opportunities others might miss
  • Take ownership of the leasing portfolio and keep key stakeholders informed on future direction

  • At least 5 years leading retail operations across multiple sites
  • Real commercial fluency, you understand what drives a P&L
