We seek a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our organization as Health, Safety and Wellbeing Associate Manager.
The role will collaborate closely with local and global stakeholders to implement and monitor Health and Safety strategy, governance, and operating model tailored for the Australian and New Zealand market units.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing safety programs at the corporate and project levels under the guidance of the Health and Safety Manager.
- Lead and facilitate risk assessments to improve psychosocial safety.
- Provide expert health and safety advisory to key stakeholders for a broad range of matters including general health & safety risk management, non-work related serious illness, return to work plans and psychosocial risk.
- Review health and safety data to identify emerging risks and trends
- Action identified risks and prepare monthly reports
- Participate in implementing and maintaining Accenture’s ISO45001 certified WHS Management system in ANZ.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to contribute to developing Health and Safety policies and procedures for ANZ.
- Provide input and suggestions for improving workplace safety.
- Contribute to fostering a strong safety culture within the organization by actively participating in awareness campaigns, communication efforts, and employee engagement activities.
- Work closely with local stakeholders to learn and ensure WHS compliance with client requirements and local regulations.
- Assist in incident investigation and analysis processes to understand root causes and recommend corrective actions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in WHS regulations, and share this knowledge with the team to contribute to the company's Health and Safety management system.
- As needed, participate in distributing educational materials and training programs related to employee safety policies, procedures, accident protection, and prevention.
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Diploma of WHS, or Graduate Certificate WHS or working toward pre-mentioned.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in the following desirable:
- With 3-5 years similar work experience
- supporting health and safety initiatives within a large/global company.
- risk management of a variety work environment types (eg corporate, manufacturing, public sector)
- development, implementation and periodic revision of health and safety management systems, policies, and procedures.
- conducting internal audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- analytical and problem-solving skills, with a growing ability to use data for decision-making.
- ability to effectively communicate Health and safety principles and advisory to diverse audiences.
- Exposure to managing third-party accounts, such as EAP providers and workers compensation insurers.
