Senior Civil Designer

Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy with 90+ professionals across multiple offices in NSW, QLD, and VIC. They deliver civil design across building, subdivision, and land development projects with a reputation for technical excellence and long-term client relationships built on trust and consistent delivery.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join their Brisbane team and take a lead role in delivering high-quality civil design across a range of building and land development projects.

The Role

• Manage and deliver civil design across building, subdivision, and land development projects on time and to the required standards
• Develop detailed designs and documentation using 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
• Prepare stormwater drainage, earthworks, roads, and site civil documentation for development projects
• Liaise regularly with clients, councils, and service authorities throughout project delivery
• Apply safety in design practices and processes across all project work
• Contribute to the development and improvement of design standards within the team

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Civil Design or equivalent
• 7–10 years of industry experience in civil design, with a focus on buildings, subdivision, or land development
• Proficiency in 12D and/or Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Experience in stormwater drainage and OSD design (highly regarded)
• Sound knowledge of the Queensland market, Australian Standards, and Council design standards
• Good understanding of Service Authority design approval and construction standards for development projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including report writing
• Proven ability to lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
