The opportunity & how you can make an impact.

Our Foresight, Strategy & Impact (FSI) team brings together specialist expertise across Future State, Impact and Sustainability to help clients solve complex strategic, place-based and sustainability challenges. We work across urban strategy, policy and impact assessment, and sustainability and net zero transitions, combining strategic thinking, rigorous analysis and practical advice to deliver meaningful outcomes for cities, communities and the environment.

Within FSI, our Future State team sits at the intersection of data, strategy and place. We support public and private sector clients to navigate complexity, define problems, identify opportunities and make informed decisions about the future of cities, precincts and places through evidence-based strategies and collaborative engagement.

As a Consultant within our Brisbane FSI team, every day is different! You'll make a celebrated impact by:

• Designing and delivering high-quality research activities, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, literature reviews and data analysis
• Defining problems and identifying opportunities, applying logical thinking to generate clear insights
• Translating research findings into concise, well-structured reports with practical, actionable recommendations for clients
• Assisting FSI leaders with project administration, coordination, and delivery, including project management and client interface support
• Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships, while contributing to tenders, proposals and broader business development activities

About you.

• A tertiary qualification in or equivalent experience in Design, Economics, Geography, Planning or Property and Research related fields
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role - prior consultancy or another fast-paced professional services environment highly regarded
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
• An understanding of regional / urban issues, including economic, urban planning, transport, property development contexts
• A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
• Passion for purpose-led work, and driving a positive legacy for our communities, clients and yourself
