Our client is a global asset management business with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional outcomes for institutional and wholesale investors. This role is Sydney based, and 3-4 days in the office (Barangaroo).
An opportunity has arisen for a Client Implementation and Onboarding Analyst to join the Client Implementation and Onboarding team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the onboarding and lifecycle management of institutional and wholesale clients, ensuring seamless implementation, strong governance, and an exceptional client experience.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and client-facing teams, you will contribute to operational readiness, regulatory compliance, KYC/AML and process enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate institutional and wholesale client onboarding activities, ensuring operational readiness across all stakeholders.
- Support client lifecycle events including mandate changes, transitions, restructures, and terminations.
- Manage and oversee AML/KYC and due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with AUSTRAC requirements and internal governance standards.
- Maintain accurate client records, control registers, and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness.
- Support the administration and governance of Investment Management Agreements and related client documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, project-based work, and automation opportunities across the team.
- Collaborate with internal operational teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
- Contribute to working groups and initiatives focused on enhancing onboarding, reporting, and client servicing processes.
Skills & Experience
- Experience within asset management, client operations, asset servicing, custody, or superannuation
- Exposure to client onboarding, implementation, account opening, transitions, or operational delivery processes.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC requirements and client due diligence frameworks in essential.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Experience supporting process improvement, change initiatives, or project work will be highly regarded.
- An interest in automation, technology, and AI-driven process enhancements would be advantageous.
