The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our Environmental team at our Tamworth processing facility in New South Wales. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, with a functional reporting line to the Group Manager – Environment, this key role will lead environmental compliance and performance initiatives while fostering a strong environmental culture across site operations. The successful candidate will ensure environmental obligations are met, environmental risks are effectively managed, and outcomes continue to improve.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a positive environmental culture across the site
- Ensure compliance with environmental licences, approvals, and regulatory obligations
- Support the operation and optimisation of wastewater treatment processes
- Monitor, analyse, and report environmental performance data
- Develop and implement environmental improvement initiatives
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders as required
- Manage environmental projects from planning through to successful delivery
- Provide technical advice and support to operational teams
About You
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Alternatively, significant equivalent experience and demonstrated competencies in a relevant field
Experience & Skills
- Minimum five years' experience in environmental management, environmental engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations and process optimisation
- Sound understanding of NSW environmental legislation, including the Protection of the Environment Operations Act and associated regulations
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental approval processes and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with experience in environmental monitoring, reporting, and data interpretation
- Proven project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities and delivering projects on time
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives
