About The Role

ARRCS are seeing an experienced

Financial Account to deliver accurate financial reporting across our Aged Care and Support at Home programs. This role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis at a remuneration of $110,000 - $120,000 gross base PA.

As ARRCS Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting across all of ARRCS sites including 12 x Aged Care facilities, Support at Home program and corporate services. You will ensure that ARRCS remains compliant with aged-care frameworks, funding and legislative requirements and relevant Australian accounting standards. You will be responsible for month, quarterly and year end transactions including statutory and ATO reporting and reconciliations. In addition, you will safeguard ARRCS financial stability and ensure that we remain compliant with relevant funding streams and prepared for appropriate auditing.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong accounting experience in the areas of monthly, quarterly and year end reporting. You will have strong reconciliation skills and have advanced knowledge and on the job experience working to Australian accounting standards.

You will lead the preparation of all Aged-care relevant reporting including AN-ACC revenue validation and government-mandated cost allocations.

To be successful in this role, your working career will demonstrate extensive prior experience as a financial accountant. You will be CA or CPA qualified or, well towards completion. In addition, you will demonstrate strong communication skills, you will be comfortable communicating and working with non-financial senior staff to explain and follow up when required.

You will be meticulous with your attention to detail, enjoy working to and meeting tight timeframes and be a positive and supportive team member.

An understanding of aged care legislation and or government funding frameworks is preferred, as is advanced computer literacy and experience using ERP systems. You should also bring strong knowledge accounting compliance requirements and external reporting obligations, with preference within aged care or community services.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce.
  • A minimum of 3-years working as a Financial Accountant working with Australian accounting practices. With above average knowledge of BAS statements, preparation of month, quarter and yearend financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated strong work history in balance street reconciliations including complex reconciliations, and multiple funding streams.
  • Experience preparing auditing reports, responding to auditor requests, and supporting industry reporting requirements
  • Previous use of EAP or Accounting Software such as Epicor, Techone or Sage.
  • Strong Excel knowledge with formatting and formula development.
  • Experience in preparing BAS, FBT, Payroll and other ATO submission requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement stills, and a professional ability to work with and present to internal senior staff to gain required information and to report and explain financial statuses.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the Aged Care industry including AN-ACC and Support at Home Program funding models preferred, however, not essential.
