Our client is a growing listed digital infrastructure company powering.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the global general Counsel, this is a senior and highly visible role supporting the company's international growth strategy, major customer transactions and evolving AI infrastructure platform.
You will work closely with executive leadership, business development, product, engineering and infrastructure teams across multiple jurisdictions, providing commercially focused legal support on strategic customer agreements, technology partnerships, privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the negotiation and management of complex customer agreements supporting AI and high-performance computing services, including compute capacity agreements, GPU-as-a-Service arrangements, cloud services contracts, master services agreements and strategic enterprise customer transactions.
- Advise on emerging legal and regulatory issues impacting artificial intelligence, machine learning and data-intensive technologies, including evolving AI governance frameworks and compliance obligations.
- Structure and negotiate strategic partnerships with AI developers, cloud providers, digital infrastructure operators, hardware manufacturers and technology vendors.
- Support technology procurement initiatives and large-scale infrastructure projects across global operations.
- Advise on privacy, data governance and cybersecurity matters, ensuring robust compliance and risk management frameworks are maintained across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance on international privacy and data protection regimes, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and related global frameworks.
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, security schedules, data-sharing arrangements and information governance documentation.
- Partner with commercial, product and technical teams to deliver practical and commercially focused legal advice in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Support cybersecurity preparedness, incident response planning, data breach management and enterprise risk initiatives.
- Develop scalable contracting processes, legal playbooks and automation initiatives that improve efficiency while maintaining strong governance standards.
- Assist with strategic transactions, financings, business expansion projects and legal due diligence activities as required.
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or sophisticated in-house legal environment.
- Strong experience advising on complex technology transactions, strategic commercial contracts and customer-facing technology agreements.
- Deep expertise across technology contracting, privacy, data governance and cybersecurity matters.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate evolving legal and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, AI technologies, digital infrastructure or enterprise technology environments.
- Comfortable advising on novel legal issues in rapidly developing areas where regulatory frameworks continue to evolve.
- Commercially minded, solutions-focused and capable of balancing legal risk with business objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives, commercial teams and technical stakeholders.
