Property & Projects Lawyer

Law Staff

Join a highly regarded national Property & Projects team working across commercial property, renewable energy, infrastructure and project finance matters throughout Australia.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm in Brisbane.

Working within a well-established Property and Projects practice, you will advise domestic and international clients on a broad range of commercial property, development, infrastructure, renewable energy and project-related transactions. The team acts for renewable energy developers, listed property groups, large commercial property owners, property developers, carbon service providers and hotel and resort owners across Australia.

For lawyers who have not yet had exposure to renewable energy and energy transition projects, this role offers a rare opportunity to develop expertise in one of Australia's fastest-growing sectors while continuing to build a strong foundation in commercial property and development work.

You will work alongside experienced senior practitioners in a collaborative and supportive environment, gaining exposure to sophisticated transactions while continuing to develop your technical expertise, commercial acumen and client relationships.

Example of the work undertaken by the team include:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial and retail property
  • Hotel and resort transactions
  • Land acquisitions and tenure arrangements for renewable energy and energy transition projects
  • Wind, solar, battery and waste-to-hydrogen projects
  • Carbon sequestration projects, including service, security and co-operation agreements
  • Residential and commercial development titling, including complex body corporate developments
  • Drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements for significant capital and corporate M&A transactions, including renewable energy projects
  • Environmental offset arrangements
  • Infrastructure agreements
  • Regulatory approvals
  • Project structuring and corporate establishment matters
  • Project financing, corporate financing and security arrangements
  • Foreign investment approval advice and applications
  • General commercial property and development advisory work

Whilst Brisbane based, you can expect to be involved in transactions and projects across Australia.
