About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this newly created executive leadership role will take ownership of the commercial function across sales leadership, business development, account management, contract negotiations, pricing strategy, marketing and market expansion.

Working closely with the founders and Senior Leadership Team, you will help shape commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and build the structure and discipline required to support the next stage of growth.

This is not a traditional Head of Sales role. You will be expected to operate at both a strategic and operational level, leading major commercial opportunities, negotiating complex agreements, and ensuring successful execution once contracts are won.

You will be equally comfortable presenting a commercial business case to senior executives, engaging with procurement teams, visiting mine sites, or working alongside operational leaders to deliver outcomes for customers.

We are seeking a commercially astute executive who can structure complex deals, balance risk and reward, and help scale a high-growth business without losing the agility that has made it successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial function, including Sales, Business Development, Sales Support and Marketing

• Drive revenue growth across existing and new markets

• Build executive-level relationships across major mining and mining services organisations

• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies and contract structuring

• Manage complex sales opportunities with long sales cycles and significant contract values

• Develop and execute commercial growth and marketing strategies

• Establish structured account management, forecasting and reporting frameworks

• Work closely with operational teams to ensure customer commitments are successfully delivered

• Represent the business at industry conferences, customer events and strategic meetings

• Identify new market opportunities, partnerships and growth initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will likely bring:

• 10+ years' experience in a senior commercial, business development, sales leadership or general management role

• Experience within mining, mining services, industrial services, capital equipment, manufacturing or related sectors

• Executive presence and gravitas, with the ability to influence and build credibility with customers, partners and senior stakeholders

• Demonstrated success negotiating complex commercial agreements and long-term contracts

• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, risk assessment and deal structuring

• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams

• Strong execution capability and the ability to bring structure and discipline to a growing business

• A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved when required
