An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and reliable Business /Finance Officer to join a small and growing quarrying and construction materials business located 35km out of Port Hedland.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with previous experience in office administration, accounting or bookkeeping with experience in accounting software such as MYOB or Xero to support the day-to-day operations.

This position offers flexibility in work hours and work location - (can be based in either Karratha or Port Hedland.)

Please note that this a local position, not FIFO.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing accounts receivable, payable and payroll.
  • Reconciling accounts and purchases.
  • Preparation and submission of tenders.
  • Supporting business development initiatives.
  • Preparation of documents for external auditors and maintaining compliance obligations.

Essentials:

  • A high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and see projects through to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, payroll and financial administration.
  • Knowledge and experience using MYOB and/or Xero
  • Experience preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prepare professional tender submissions.
