Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Piano Teacher to join our Moonee Ponds Music School on Saturdays from 10:00am-4:00pm. We are looking for a people person, who is friendly, with a bubbly personality; and who can provide engaging piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels. Duties include teaching piano techniques, coaching students on music theory, preparing students for performances or exams, and creating lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs.

Teachers are employed as independent contractors and must have an ABN to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging music lessons, catering to students of all ages and skill levels
• Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources to foster a love of music in your students
• Maintain accurate student records and provide regular progress updates
• Collaborate with the studio management team to organise and participate in recitals and performances
• Contribute to the overall growth and development of the music studio

• Strong skills in Piano Playing and Piano techniques
• Knowledge of Music Theory and ability to incorporate it into lessons
• Effective communication skills and the ability to connect with students of all ages
• Previous teaching experience is desired but not essential
• A certificate in music education is an asset
• A positive attitude, patience, and passion for teaching music
