Critical Mineral Investment Manager

We are currently working with a leading Energy developer and Investor who are looking to add a Critical Minerals Investment Manager (12-Month Contract, Brisbane)

Buy-side investment role focused on evaluating and managing investments across the critical minerals value chain, from mining projects to downstream processing assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Build financial models for mining and processing assets (production, costs, capex, commodity price sensitivities, valuations).
  • Conduct technical and commercial due diligence on resources, mine plans, metallurgical test work, processing flowsheets, and operations.
  • Prepare investment committee papers integrating financial, technical, ESG, legal, and market analysis.
  • Research critical minerals sectors and assess greenfield, brownfield, expansion, and processing opportunities.
  • Monitor portfolio investments, valuations, and investor reporting.
  • Track commodity markets, regulations, and supply-demand trends.

Ideal background

  • Mining equity research, natural resources investment banking, project finance, mining-focused private equity, or mining engineering with strong commercial exposure.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Understanding of mine development, processing technologies, and commodity markets.
  • Ability to translate technical information into investment recommendations.
