Role Description

The Team Leader Cardiology Clinic is a on-site role based at the Chatswood, NSW clinic. This role oversees the daily running of the cardiology clinic, including coordinating appointment schedules, supervising administrative and clinical support staff, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The Team Leader will support cardiologists and other specialists with clinic logistics, manage front-of-house service standards, and respond to patient inquiries and feedback. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring team members, and implementing process improvements that enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency. The role also involves collaborating with management on operational targets, reporting key metrics, and supporting initiatives that align with the clinic’s quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong team leadership skills, with experience supervising or coordinating a clinic, healthcare, or customer-facing team.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with the ability to manage patient expectations and handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Background or exposure to medicine or healthcare environments (e.g., cardiology, hospital, or specialist practice) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to deliver and coordinate staff training, including onboarding, process updates, and service standards.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Proficiency with practice management systems, electronic medical records, and standard office software.
  • Relevant qualification in health administration, nursing, practice management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in a specialist or cardiology clinic.
