At Huon, we believe our people are our greatest asset. We're looking for an Injury Management Coordinator to help our employees recover, return to work safely, and stay healthy throughout their careers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to transition from a health, wellbeing, rehabilitation or allied health background into a corporate role where they can make a real impact on people's lives.
Whether you're a Personal Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, Allied Health Professional, Rehabilitation Consultant, Nurse, or have experience supporting people with their health and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As our Injury Management Coordinator, you'll work closely with employees, leaders, healthcare providers and insurers to support positive recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
This is a people-focused role where no two days are the same. You'll combine your knowledge of health and wellbeing with problem-solving, relationship building and coaching to help our people get back to doing what they do best.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting employees through injury recovery and return-to-work plans
- Building strong relationships with employees, leaders, treating practitioners and insurers
- Coaching leaders to confidently support injured workers in their teams
- Coordinating workers compensation and injury management processes
- Ensuring documentation, reporting and compliance requirements are met
- Identifying opportunities to improve injury prevention and wellbeing outcomes
- Supporting and promoting Huon's "We Care" Early Intervention Program
About You
You may already be working in injury management, or you may be looking to apply your health and wellbeing experience in a new way.
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, can build trust quickly and isn't afraid to have meaningful conversations.
You'll bring:
- Qualifications or experience in a health, wellbeing, rehabilitation, nursing, allied health, exercise science, personal training or related field
- A passion for helping people achieve positive health and recovery outcomes
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to balance empathy with practical problem solving
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and navigating sensitive situations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Tasmania when required
Previous injury management or workers compensation experience is welcome and is highly regarded but not essential.
