About the role, Your availability & The offer:
Carbon's People & Culture team is looking for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator to join our Osborne Park office on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 22.5 - 30 hrs per week.
Supporting employees and leaders across our national business, you'll assist with employment contracts, onboarding, HR administration, employee enquiries, HR systems and people-related processes.
Ideally, we’d love someone who can work several hours a day to ensure consistent coverage for our employees and leaders, however we’re open to negotiate this for the right person. So, if you really want to apply but worry if that’s a barrier – please apply anyway.
We are initially looking for someone for a fixed term 6-month contract to cover parental leave, but there is a possibility to extend if Carbon continues to grow at the rate we have been!
We're looking for someone who brings proven Australian HR experience and can confidently work through a variety of HR queries and administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Australian HR or People & Culture Coordinator/Officer role.
- Relevant Human Resources qualification desirable but not essential.
- Experience preparing employment contracts and employment documentation.
- Experience managing employee payroll, leave and policy enquiries.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and solve problems proactively.
- Experience with HRIS platforms & Xero highly regarded.
- Experience supporting a workforce of 200+ employees is highly regarded.
- Preparing employment contracts, contract variations and other employment-related correspondence.
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation and facilitating inductions.
- Responding to employee and leader queries relating to policies, leave, payroll and general employment matters.
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy within our HRIS (HiBob) and payroll systems.
- Supporting performance management processes, including preparing documentation and updating employee records.
- Managing a busy HR inbox and prioritising requests across multiple stakeholders.
- Researching HR issues and identifying practical solutions before escalating where required.
- Assisting with employee relations matters, investigations and general HR administration.
- Supporting the implementation of HR initiatives, projects and process improvements.
- Keeping up to date with Australian employment legislation and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- 6-month fixed-term contract.
