This unique role offers an opportunity to help strengthen relationships between Genesis, Traditional Owners, local communities, government agencies, and key stakeholders while creating positive outcomes for the region.
We particularly welcome applications from members of the Nyalpa Pirniku people and other local community members who are passionate about preserving culture, strengthening community connections and creating opportunities for future generations.
As our Community Liaison Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring local voices are heard, respected, and represented. You will work closely with Traditional Owner groups, community organisations, local government, and Genesis employees to build trusted relationships, support cultural initiatives, identify employment and training opportunities, and help deliver meaningful community engagement programs.
Key responsibilities include:

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for community engagement, and the ability to bring people together. Connections to, or a strong understanding of, the Nyalpa Pirniku people, local communities and the Laverton region will be highly regarded.
A current manual driver's licence is required. Formal qualifications in Community Services or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
At Genesis, we recognise the importance of local knowledge, cultural heritage, and strong community partnerships. If you want to help create lasting positive outcomes for the people and communities of Laverton, we'd love to hear from you.
