About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as an Activity and Lifestyle Assistant at Deborah Cheetham Retirement Village in Ocean Grove. This is a Full Time position working Monday to Friday 0930-1630pm.
We love when our lifestyle assistants use their creative flair to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents. This is a diverse role, and no two days are the same! You will:
- Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for all residents
- Work closely with the activities team to ensure our events calendar runs smoothly
- Run our resident bingo - it sure is a fan favourite
- Assist in the delivery of various workshops, social and craft activities. Anything from bake offs, fashion shows and even floristry demonstrations
- Accompany residents on various outings
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
- Strong empathy
- Outstanding communication skills
- A creative flair you're not afraid to let shine
- Certificate III/IV in Leisure & Lifestyle is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
