The Opportunity
CSR are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Operations Manager to lead our Commercial Fitout manufacturing operations across 5 sites in Sydney (Villawood, Ingleburn, Blacktown, Brookvale and Gloucester).
This is a critical leadership role responsible for the manufacture of Martini, Himmel and Woven Image brands in Australia. Based at Villawood, you will drive operational excellence across a complex, multi-site environment—ensuring performance, safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently achieved.
You will be a strategic change driver who leads through leaders, building capability across your teams while embedding sustainable improvements. Your ability to navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and align teams will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimise manufacturing operations across five sites in a fast-paced environment
- Provide strong people leadership, building engagement and capability across teams
- Lead through leaders—mentoring and developing frontline leaders to deliver results
- Improve communication flow between frontline teams and site leadership to ensure alignment
- Oversee capital expenditure projects and manage a structure of 8 direct and 80 indirect reports
- Ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency across all facilities
- Drive continuous improvement and implement best-practice manufacturing processes
- Own and manage the P&L and cost centre, with a strong focus on cost control and performance
- Strengthen workplace culture and implement skills development frameworks (e.g., skills matrix)
- Lead safety initiatives and embed systems to reduce risk and improve site safety outcomes
- Navigate organisational change with a collaborative and pragmatic leadership approach
About You
You are a proven operations leader with extensive experience working in complex multi-site manufacturing environments. You bring a strategic mindset, combined with the ability to execute through others and deliver measurable results.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in manufacturing or a similar operational environment
- Demonstrated success leading large, geographically dispersed teams (multi-site essential)
- Strong capability in leading through leaders and building leadership depth
- Relevant engineering or related qualification
- Proven track record in driving operational performance and continuous improvement
- Experience managing significant capital projects and optimising production facilities
- Strong commercial acumen, including P&L ownership and cost management
- Experience overseeing warehousing operations (domestic and international shipments)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment
