As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for risk and compliance activities across Focus Care. You’ll ensure we meet regulatory obligations while supporting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Focus Care’s risk management framework and risk register
- Ensure compliance with NDIS and aged care standards
- Oversee incident management, investigations, and reporting (including SIRS and NDIS reportables)
- Manage workers compensation claims across multiple states
- Support complaints handling and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct WHS audits, risk assessments and hazard identification
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and risk practices
About you
You are detail-oriented, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.
You will bring
- Qualifications in WHS, Risk and compliance (or related discipline)
- Experience in risk, compliance, or WHS
- Knowledge of NDIS and/or aged care frameworks
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing workers compensation (desirable)
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
- NDIS Worker Screening check (or willingness to obtain)
