Management Accountant

Haileybury welcomes applications for the role of Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a Full-time, ongoing (1.0 FTE), commencing 27 July 2026.
The Management Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. The role prepares monthly financial reports, performs balance sheet reconciliations, analyses staffing costs against budget, and partners with departments to support financial management.
It also plays a key role in the annual budgeting process, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and providing budget holders with monthly financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
As the Management Accountant, you will:
- Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations and analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor staffing costs and FTE movements against budget and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with departments to support budget management, reporting and financial performance.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, budget revisions, financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial reports and analytical tools to improve business performance.
- Manage purchase orders and corporate expense card acquittals.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of finance policies, procedures and processes.
- Undertake project work, financial analysis and other duties to support the Finance team and broader school community.
About You

- 3+ years' management accounting experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours when working with children.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, organised and able to maintain confidentiality.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and data entry skills.
