Our St Albans team is seeking an experienced and inspiring Educational Leader who is passionate about pedagogy, mentoring educators, and driving high-quality outcomes for children.

About the Role

As the Educational Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding curriculum development, supporting educator practice, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with the Centre Manager and leadership team, you will mentor educators to deliver engaging, inclusive, and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.

This is an opportunity for a passionate educator who enjoys coaching others, leading reflective practice, and championing quality education within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs and practices
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire educators to strengthen pedagogical knowledge and teaching practice
  • Guide reflective practice and continuous improvement initiatives across the service
  • Support educators in planning, documenting, and assessing children's learning and development
  • Ensure curriculum and educational programs align with EYLF, National Quality Standards, and Journey's educational philosophy
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community
  • Contribute to achieving and maintaining high-quality assessment and rating outcomes

What You'll Bring

  • Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Previous experience in an Educational Leader, Lead Educator, Early Childhood Teacher, or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, National Quality Framework, and National Quality Standards
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support educators to achieve quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement and delivering exceptional educational experiences
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain)
