About the Role

This an exciting opportunity for a vibrant and passionate Technology Training Officer to join the Information Technology team. You will develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of training and support to all staff to effectively use the corporate technical tools they utilise on a daily basis. Join Baw Baw Shire Council in this essential business support role as we begin to implement new systems and processes across Council that enhance the way we work and interact with our customers.

The Technology Training Officer is responsible for the design of a consistent software support training program for all corporate software solutions, coordinate and delivery staff training and information sessions where required and assist teams responsible for corporate systems in creating training and associated manuals in a consistent manner.

About the Successful Candidate

You will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and public speaking skills to provide responsive and timely delivery of information systems related training. You will be familiar in utilising a blended training delivery model to develop, facilitate and evaluate targeted systems training, to ensure that staff have the required knowledge, skills, and competency to use all systems relevant to their roles.

You will also need to demonstrate to the following;

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or relevant experience).
  • Strong understanding of Baw Baw Shire Councils systems and programs or be willing to undertake training in the following programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, M365 Platform, TechnologyOne ERP (CRM, Financials, HRP, Property & Rating, ECM and IntraMaps GIS), SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Experience in training/facilitation and staff support.
  • Experience in building training programs using progressive tools including video editing and screen recording.
