About the role
Bunge is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Grain Merchant to join our team based at either Fremantle or Bunbury location. This role is a key support function within the Australian grain industry, providing essential assistance to growers, accumulation teams and internal stakeholders across Western Australia.
You will manage grower enquiries, process grain transactions and support key digital platforms, while playing a critical role during harvest and peak operational periods. This is a varied, fast-paced opportunity offering strong exposure to grain accumulation, contracting and grower services.
Key responsibilities
- Support grain accumulation activities across Western Australia in line with trading and demand requirements
- Purchase grain and pulses from growers, consultants and brokers to achieve accumulation targets
- Work closely with trading and marketing teams to align accumulation with supply and demand analysis
- Promote Bunge accumulation products and pricing options, including cash and contracted grain
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate grower interactions, meetings, field days and industry events as required
- Liaise with Operations teams to identify and resolve lost or constrained storage capacity
- Ensure grower interactions and transactions are accurately captured in CRM systems in line with KPIs
- Assist with harvest and peak‑period activities, including coordination support and issue resolution
- Actively contribute to a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
About you
- Interest or experience in agribusiness, grain or agriculture is highly regarded
- Commercially focused with an understanding of grower and market dynamics
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working with data, contracts and CRM systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Team‑oriented, proactive and safety‑focused
- Flexible to support peak harvest periods, including occasional after‑hours work
