The role
Are you a hands-on leader who enjoys coordinating people, working in a fast-paced operational environment, and building a long-term career in the construction materials industry?
We are seeking a Site Supervisor / Batcher to join our Alice Springs operation. This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines leadership, batching, dispatching, scheduling, safety compliance, customer service, and general site coordination. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the concrete plant while supporting a small team of drivers and maintaining excellent service for our customers.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone from a construction, civil, transport, concrete, quarrying, logistics, or manufacturing background who is looking to step into a leadership position and develop new skills within a stable and growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for driver queries, incidents, and operational issues
- Lead toolbox talks and safety discussions
- Monitor site safety, compliance, PPE, and housekeeping standards
- Coordinate contractor inductions and site access requirements
- Take customer phone orders and enter them into the batching system
- Batch concrete to customer specifications
- Coordinate and schedule daily concrete deliveries
- Allocate drivers and trucks to customer orders
- Conduct daily plant pre-starts and inspections
- Operate a loader to feed raw materials into the plant
- Order and manage raw material stock levels
- Complete end-of-day reconciliation and delivery documentation
- Conduct monthly stocktakes
- Assist with quarry-related operational requirements as required
Hours: Monday – Friday (rostered shifts are between the hours of 5am – 5pm) and Saturdays as required.
About You

We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and will provide full training in concrete batching for the right person. To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in construction materials, concrete, quarrying, civil construction, transport, logistics, manufacturing, production, or heavy vehicle operations
- Previous experience coordinating drivers, crews, contractors, or day-to-day site activities
- Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and maintaining high site standards
- Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Supervisory, team leadership, loader, forklift, or other mobile plant experience will be highly regarded, but not essential
