An established global manufacturer and market leader in engineered mechanical piping solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Western Australia’s mining and resources sector.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected organisation with a strong reputation for innovation, safety, and technical excellence. You’ll be responsible for developing new opportunities, influencing project specifications, and partnering with key stakeholders across mine sites, EPCMs, contractors, and asset owners.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the WA mining market.
- Build relationships with mining companies, engineering consultancies, EPCM firms, contractors, and distributors.
- Drive specification and adoption of engineered piping solutions on new projects and asset upgrades.
- Develop strategic account plans for key customers and major projects.
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and upcoming project opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal technical and project teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Proven success in a business development or technical sales role servicing the mining industry.
- Experience selling industrial, mechanical, engineering, infrastructure, fluid handling, piping, valves, pumps, or related technical solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of generating new business opportunities.
- Established relationships within the WA mining and resources sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage with decision-makers from site level through to executive leadership.
- A self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented approach.
