About The Role
BRG is seeking an experienced
ILS Officer to support
JP9347 – Joint Data Networks within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).
JP9347 is responsible for modernising and upgrading Joint Data Networks capabilities across Defence. Working within an integrated project team, the successful candidate will support logistics planning, sustainment development, inventory management, supply chain activities and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) functions to ensure successful capability acquisition and transition into service.
This role will suit an individual with experience in Defence logistics, sustainment, asset management, supply chain management and ILS activities.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Logistics Support
- Support Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) activities.
- Support Sparing Analysis and provisioning activities.
- Conduct or support Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
- Assist with logistics costing activities.
- Support capability transition and sustainment planning.
- Provide advice relating to Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC).
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Plan and manage logistics activities across the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and optimise supply chain operations.
- Liaise with suppliers, project stakeholders and Commonwealth representatives.
- Support warehousing, inventory and distribution activities.
- Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain productive relationships with Defence, industry and project stakeholders.
- Support integrated project team activities and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
- Share information and contribute to effective team outcomes.
Governance & Assurance
- Ensure compliance with Defence logistics policies, processes and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
- Support logistics governance and assurance activities.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, procedures and logistics artefacts.
Essential Experience & Skills
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, asset management or sustainment environments.
- Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to work within integrated and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Desirable Experience
Highly regarded experience includes:
- Defence acquisition or sustainment project experience.
- Knowledge of Military Command and Control systems.
- Understanding of Tactical Data Links.
- Experience supporting complex Defence capability projects.
- Experience working within Commonwealth or CASG environments.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualifications in:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Or related discipline
- Relevant MILIS competency.

- Certificate IV in Logistics Management

- CMT-L
