Accounts Payable Officer – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

What you'll be up to

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the end to end Accounts Payable function including processing of invoices, payment creation and bank reconciliation. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to adhere to ongoing deadlines and effective collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In addition you will also:

  • Process and verify supplier invoices.
  • Raise purchase orders for production and installation.
  • Coordinate payment runs and prepare ABA files for approval.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, intercompany loans, and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage supplier records and respond to supplier inquiries.
  • Process staff reimbursements via Expensify.
  • Post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Provide backup support to the Assistant Accountant.
  • Assist with the annual audit process.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualification in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and procedural skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accountability.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to internal control policies and procedures.
