About this position

The City is seeking a highly experienced digital marketing professional to work at both a strategic and operational level within a fast-paced, energetic team. This role will support the delivery of proactive communication and marketing strategies for a City with a strong reputation for achieving great outcomes.

Working days for this permanent part-time position are Thursdays and Fridays, as part of a job-share arrangement with another Digital Marketing Officer.

We are looking for a collaborative team player with strong technical skills, creative flair and the ability to produce engaging digital content for the community. In this role, you will work across the organisation to develop and implement digital marketing initiatives and strategies that positively promote the City's diverse services, events and facilities. You will also proactively monitor and manage digital content to help protect and enhance the City's corporate reputation.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Sound experience in digital marketing, including developing corporate digital marketing plans and a risk management framework
  • Experience developing, implementing and evaluating digital marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Proven experience in providing high quality, timely digital marketing services, including creating video content, while having the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills and proven experience writing content for the digital environment in a corporate voice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and build productive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders

Essential requirements

  • Current Driver's licence
  • Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required prior to appointment
  • Tertiary qualification in digital marketing, mass communications or equivalent
