Data Migration Lead

Why This Role Matters

We are seeking an experienced

Data Migration Lead to play a critical role in our systems transformation program. This role will lead end-to-end data migration across workforce management and finance systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accuracy to support safe, high-quality care for our residents.

This is a 2-year contract position.

What You Will Be Doing

Data Migration & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end data migration including planning, execution, validation, and cutover
• Define migration scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks
• Develop and execute cutover and rollback strategies

Data Preparation & Mapping

• Extract, profile, cleanse, and enrich data from legacy systems
• Define and document mappings to target systems
• Ensure alignment with target data structures and business rules

Execution & Testing

• Oversee secure data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
• Conduct test migrations and reconciliation
• Support user acceptance testing and resolve data-related issues

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Clinical, Operations) to define requirements and partner with vendors to deliver migation activities
• Provide clear reporting on status, risks, and issues

Deployment & Post-Migration

• Lead cutover activities with minimal business disruption
• Validate data integrity post-migration and support stabilisation
• Oversee archiving and decommissioning of legacy systems

What you will bring: Proven experience leading complex data migration projects (healthcare and/or SaaS environments preferred)

• Deep expertise in data migration, cleansing, validation, and cutover planning
• Strong knowledge of healthcare data and systems
• Advanced skills in SQL, ETL tools, and data management practices
• Experience working with vendors and SaaS platforms
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capability
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of data privacy and security standards
• Strong documentation and reporting capability
• Valid right to Work in Australia
• Valid driver’s licence
• Current National Police check/ NDIS check (or willingness to obtain)

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Data, IT, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
