An established and highly respected supplier of engineered materials and industrial solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its Melbourne team. With a strong reputation across Australia and New Zealand, the business partners with customers in fabrication, building and construction, engineering, and manufacturing environments, providing innovative solutions to a diverse client base.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering value to customers across multiple industries.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing existing accounts across Victoria. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored material solutions that improve performance, productivity, and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across building and construction, fabrication, engineering, and manufacturing sectors.
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of customers.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, fabricators, manufacturers, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical and commercial solutions to customers’ applications.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and project delivery.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting through CRM systems.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A proven track record in B2B sales or business development.
- Experience within building and construction, industrial products, construction materials, fabrication, or a related sector.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- The ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term partnerships.
- A self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with contractors, builders, fabricators, or manufacturers will be highly regarded.
