Reporting to the DC Operations Manager, the Team Manager will be responsible for leading the daily inbound and inventory functions, ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient receipt, storage, putaway, replenishment and control of stock across the DC.

This role provides operational leadership to maintain inbound flow, stock integrity, inventory accuracy and replenishment discipline in support of customer service, GTP/automation performance and warehouse productivity. The Team Manager will lead, coach and support team members while driving process discipline, safety, compliance, reporting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee inbound and inventory workflows by leading daily operations, planning labour, and ensuring efficient receiving, putaway, replenishment, and stock flow aligned to customer and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional operations by managing deliveries, returns, and transfers while aligning with Production/GTP, Outbound, Transport, and Business Solutions to minimise delays and optimise performance.

Inventory Governance & Stock Integrity

  • Drive inventory accuracy and control by overseeing counts, investigations, and stock movements while ensuring compliance with systems and continuously reducing discrepancies through proactive monitoring and corrective actions.

  • Lead team performance and capability by coaching, setting clear expectations, and maintaining strong communication to optimise productivity, behaviour, and adherence to processes

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first environment by ensuring all inbound and inventory activities comply with WHS, DG handling, MHE, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Manage risks and incidents by supporting hazard identification, incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to maintain safe operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve inbound flow, replenishment, stock accuracy, and labour utilisation through data and observation.
  • Support process optimisation by improving SOPs, training, and system discipline while contributing to automation, cost efficiency, and service improvements.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Align cross-functional teams by liaising with leadership and operational groups to coordinate priorities and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure clear operational communication by proactively sharing risks, delays, performance updates, and improvement actions.

More about you

  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse or distribution environments, with strong knowledge of inventory control processes and WMS/RF systems.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate daily operations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience resolving stock discrepancies, supported by a solid commitment to workplace safety (WHS)

  • Experience in automated/GTP warehouse environments with strong reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, WMS).

  • Forklift licence (LF/LO) or MHE knowledge, with exposure to Lean or continuous improvement practices
