About The Role

We are looking for an HR Officer with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative to join our People team.

This role is based at our Perth office working a Monday to Friday 40-hour week.

Your accountabilities will be

  • Manage queries and requests through ServiceNow and Workday

  • Process employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations) throughout the Employee Life Cycle, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained

  • Generate employment change letters for employees, both within Workday (People system) and outside the system

  • Prepare employment offers and onboard new hires in Workday

  • Maintain organisational and position management in Workday

  • Create reports using Excel and distribute them as needed

  • Cultivate professional relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, standardised, accurate, and effective services

  • Regularly review Workday data to maintain data validity and compliance

  • Arrange relocation assistance for new and existing employees

About You

  • Knowledge of People systems such as Workday and ServiceNow

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, related discipline, or actively undertaking HR studies

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong administrative & Microsoft office skills

  • Ability to problem solve – using own initiative to find an outcome and seek out information

  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable – ability to work within a consistently changing and fluid environment

  • Customer service orientation – outcome driven while maintaining a strong customer focus

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Mining, construction, or resources experience desirable

  • An understanding of current employment law legislation and industrial relations
