The Project
ACCIONA is proud to be delivering the Clean Energy Link North (CELN) Project for Western Power – a critical infrastructure initiative supporting Western Australia’s transition to a more reliable and sustainable energy network.
The project involves the installation of new underground high-voltage transmission lines between Padbury and Wangara substations. This includes trenching, duct installation, cable pulling and jointing, asphalt reinstatement, and working within complex urban environments with live utilities and active traffic conditions. This is a standout opportunity to join a high-performing delivery team on essential energy infrastructure.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on, delivery-focused Site Engineer – Civil to support the execution of civil packages across the CELN project.
Based across sites in Perth’s northern corridor (Padbury to Wangara), you will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme—particularly in environments involving live services and traffic management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver civil works packages including trenching, duct installation, reinstatement, and associated underground works
- Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, and resources to ensure works are completed safely and on schedule
- Manage works around live utilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and permit requirements
- Support traffic management planning and execution in live environments
- Monitor progress and productivity, identifying and resolving site issues proactively
- Maintain strong communication with supervisors, engineers, and project teams across multiple work fronts
- Uphold ACCIONA’s safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times
Required Skills and Competencies
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
- Proven site-based experience in civil construction (utilities highly regarded)
- Strong experience with underground services and trenching works
- Demonstrated experience working around live services and traffic management environments
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive outcomes on site
- Strong coordination and communication skills in dynamic construction environments
- Ability to work across multiple packages and adapt to changing site priorities
