About the role

Peninsula Private Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an excellent understanding of WH&S, who is focused on providing an efficient and safe shift and be able to respond to daily operational changes with a supportive and calm disposition.

Peninsula Private is a 62-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 4 operating theatres and 2 day procedure rooms, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have great communication skills to cultivate a friendly environment for patients
  • Have sound knowledge in WH&S and physical ability to perform the role
  • Commit to our Safe Values

  • Be comfortable with competing priorities and flexible to change
  • Be a supportive and engaging team member to support all assigned work tasks
  • Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
  • Assess patients using therapeutic skills
  • Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer
  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
