As a Demand Data Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing consumption trends and customer behaviour, leveraging a range of data sources and insights to support accurate demand forecasting and effective inventory management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are translated into clear, actionable outcomes that drive business performance.

This is a 9-month contract opportunity to start in August, providing parental leave cover, ideal for someone who enjoys stepping into a role, making an immediate impact, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll gain exposure to a leading consumer healthcare business, partnering with experienced commercial and supply chain teams while contributing to well-known, category-leading brands.

A day in the life

  • Analyse historical consumption and sales data to identify trends and patterns that impact demand forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasting models using statistical techniques and data analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to gather relevant data and insights.
  • Create and present reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand and inventory levels.
  • Assist in the development of forecasting promotional strategies based on demand insights.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools (e.g., Advance Excel, Power BI) to manipulate and analyse large datasets

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

  • Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or analytical roles within FMCG or consumer healthcare environments is preferred
  • Strong analytical capability, able to quickly interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with forecasting tools and demand planning systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse historical data, identify demand drivers, and improve forecast accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Category, and Finance
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes quickly in a dynamic contract environment
