As a Senior Account Manager at Optus, you will join a passionate team delivering world-class telecommunication services. This role is focused on managing a portfolio of high-profile Optus Wholesale clients. These clients include telecom providers, carriers, hyperscalers, communications as a service, and service providers with growing business opportunities. You will play a crucial role in improving our market share by acquiring new business and improving the customer experience across mobile (MVNO) and fixed products.
What You’ll Do | Your day to day will consist of
Achieve set sales targets and contribute to team success by meeting or exceeding individual targets.
Maintain and grow revenue and margins from identified target account base.
Develop and complete Strategic Account Plans and 18-month Strategic Customer Roadmaps for each customer.
Lead the negotiation of contracts in a Wholesale environment, handling complex commercial and technical requirements.
Innovate and build new business solutions to grow the company’s market share. Position Optus as the preferred supplier or partner for wholesale products and services.
Collaborate internally with functional teams to meet customer expectations and sales targets.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with external customers at all levels, delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Ensure all required system and documentation requirements are met on a timely basis, including entry of information into Salesforce and preparation of reports.
What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?
10+ years of account management experience within the Telecommunications or IT industry.
Exposure to Wholesale businesses.
Strong business insight and excellent financial analysis skills.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective listening abilities.
Proven negotiation and planning skills, with the capability to handle high levels of complexity.
A high level of personal ownership and accountability, with a strong drive for results.
Ability to establish and sustain strong internal and external relationships.
Innovative and creative thinking required for complex business solutions.
In-depth understanding of market trends and issues affecting customers in Australia and globally.
