About the role
As the Engagement & Proposal Manager , you will work with technical specialists delivering high‑quality, accurate and commercially sound IT solutions into customer bids and proposals. Acting as the critical link between sales, IT, and delivery, you will ensure solutions are architecturally aligned, fully costed and deliverable, strengthening Toll’s win rate and customer confidence.
A day in the life of an Engagement & Proposal Manager at Toll Group
- Lead and coordinate global technical resources supporting complex customer bids
- Partner with senior sales and business stakeholders to shape winning IT solutions
- Govern the quality, consistency and sign‑off of all technical proposal content
- Build assumption‑driven delivery plans and IT cost models for customer wins
- Present IT solutions to customers and lead technical workshops
- Drive continuous improvement across bid governance, processes and capability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or related discipline
- ITSM, TOGAF or equivalent architecture qualifications
- 3+ years’ senior project management experience
- 5+ years’ experience in logistics or supply chain environments
- Strong background in solution architecture and design
- Experience working in large, multi‑geography organisations
Skills & experience
- Proven leadership of technical or solution design teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Expertise in IT cost modelling, bid governance and sales support
- Knowledge of supply chain technologies (WMS, TMS, track & trace, customs)
- Experience with cloud, infrastructure, security and service management
- Resilient, commercially astute and customer‑focused mindset
